Profit Pulling PlatformHow am I Learning to Make Money Online?

I am participating in a mentoring/coaching program by Alex Jeffreys.  In this post I want to discuss and get you caught up to where I am today. 

Module 3 and Module 4 from the Marketing With Alex 3.0 coaching program.

So let me get you up-to-date.

Module 3

Module 3 was about Building a Profit Pulling Platform, aka. PPP.

This was an awesome lesson.

Alex started off by talking about we need to focus on becoming a marketer and not a seller.  We now need to work on running a business and not just building a business.

What is a Profit Pulling Platform?

In an nut shell, a PPP is a series of web pages that will become your sales funnel.  This is Phase 1 of building an Automated Infrastructure Process.

Phase 1 consists of

  • A Squeeze Page
  • A Stop/Thank You Page
  • Double Opt-in Email
  • Thank You Email
  • Thank You Page
  • Order Page
  • Paid Thank You Page

That’s it.  It looks pretty simple and it is simple but not necessarily easy.

An important concept that is my biggest takeaway from Module 3 is that…

Websites don’t make money…It’s the business behind the website that make money.

We also talked a little bit about Outsourcing.

Module 4

Module 4 is called Social Media Marketing.  For this lesson we talked about Blogging and briefly discussed the need to drive targeted traffic to your blog.  We also talked about the MWA forum community for current and past coaching students.

Alex talked about how he uses his blog to communicate with his readers to find out what they are in need of so he can help them.

I great quote from Alex was “It’s not how big is the dog in the fight but how big is the fight in the dog.”  We all start out small but are you willing to fight and scratch and learn in order to become successful.

We discussed the need to create good content that people can and will use and provide Value to the readers.  I hope I am meeting that expectation for you.

There are 3 types of People:

  1. Those who don’t learn from their mistakes
  2. Those who learn from their mistakes
  3. Those who learn from the mistakes of others

Which one are you?  Let me help you to learn from the mistakes I have made as I build my successful online business.

We also talked briefly about getting traffic to your blog.  One technique is to provide good, quality comments on other blogs of well known marketers in your niche.  Commenting on other blogs will attract people to you blog to find out what you have to say.  You need to make sure you are providing good content so they will stay.

My biggest takeaway from Module 4 is to provide Value to the people that visit my blog.
