Have you noticed the newest feature on Twitter?
It’s called the ”Suggestions for You” feature.
When I was on Twitter this past Saturday I noticed something new when I followed another Twitter user. After I followed someone I noticed that below the Follow button a list of 3 suggested Twitter users displayed along with the message “Since you just followed [user name], you might also want to follow:”.
After some research I found that the new “Suggestions for You” feature is based on algorithms built by Twitters user relevance team. The suggestions are based on several factors, with the most notable factor being the people you follow and the people they follow. You can also hide this feature if you wish not to use it.
Basically, suggestions are made of people for you to follow based on your own interest in the people you currently follow and the people they follow.
Twitter has also placed a “More Like” suggestion widget in the right sidebar of your Twitter page. This feature can also been seen on other profiles on Twitter. These recommendations are based on the tweets of the person who’s profile you may be viewing.

Are you using Twitter to drive free traffic to your website?
If you are not you should be. Twitter is a great social networking and microblogging service for you to get your message out about your website.
With Twitter, you are able to send and read short messages (140 characters) known as tweets.
I find followers by using a website called Twellow.com. Twellow is a directory of public Twitter accounts. The directory is categorized into hundreds of different categories, so you should be able to easily find people within your niche.
Once you go to Twello go ahead and register for a free account.
To find followers you will need to follow other people first (you remember the Law of Reciprocity – give and take). Find your related category and follow 50 people. Do this for each weekday.
On the weekend you can go to Friend or Follow. At Friend or Follow you will need to enter your Twitter id. Once you do this Friend or Follow will do its thing. It will identify people that you are following and they are not following you, people that are following you but you are not following them, and people that you are following and they are following you. We want to focus on the people that are not following you. You will want to go and delete any user that is not following you. There maybe some people that you still want to follow and that is okay.
