I recently received an email from a reader with a great question, so I thought I would share it with you and get your opinion.
The question was “As a blogger, where do I draw the line of how much free content I should put on my blog versus creating and charging for a content packed e-book? Should that ebook be exclusive information that is not posted on my blog or should it be an edited and nicely formatted version of my best posts?”
What’s your opinion about this question?

Are you having a problem writing your next blog post? Do you sometimes have a brain lapse and no matter what you try your mind is blank and you can’t seem to think of what to write?
I understand, it’s happened to me.
Let me share with you some ideas that will ensure you keep pumping out great content.
- Check your readers comments – This really helps me when I have writers block. Your readers comments will give you insight into what they are interested in.
- Check out other blogs in your niche- There are millions of blogs out there and I am sure you will be able to find some in your niche. Read these blogs for something interesting to write about. You can also check out the blogs of your commenters for ideas. The important thing to remember here is to make sure you inject your own views on the topic.
- Ask readers to guest blog- You r readers can be a really good source of content for your blog. Everyone wants their 15 minutes of fame and having an article posted on their favorite blog would accomplish this. It is a great positive for both parties. You cannot accept every request for a guest post. You need to make sure the content is up to your quality standards for your readership. You should preview the article before posting it on your blog.
