I have been doing a lot of reading lately and most of it has been about how to succeed at building an online business. While this is very helpful information for me I thought I would put a different twist on this issue.
8 Reasons For Not Building a Successful Online Business
- Technophobia- You might be scared of the technical side of setting up an online business. You might be worried about how to set-up a website, getting a domain name, or even creating a sales page or a squeeze page. The truth is…it is not as hard as you think it is. I had these same worries and I was able to do all of these and so can you. I recommend using GoDaddy.com. There are plenty of websites/registrars where you can purchase a domain name. Domain Sale! $7.49 .com at GoDaddy when you use this link. I also recommend you use a separate hosting account to host your domain name. I recommend either HostGator (starting at $4.95 per month for a 3 year contract of $6.95 for a 1 year contract) or BlueHost ($6.95 per month). Both hosting accounts are very easy to use and set-up.

For those that are new to Internet Marketing, there is a Secret weapon that is available to you for free.
There is a training webinar that helps those interested in successfully building an online business. No more having to sift through website after website trying to gather information about building an online business.
I am personally being mentored by Alex Jeffreys and I invite you to listen to him as he reveals his secrets about Internet Marketing.
This training webinar is called Easy Cash Webinar.
Most people think that being successful online is all about selling. WRONG!
It’s called Internet Marketing not Internet Selling.
Internet Marketing is Simple but it is not easy. Internet marketing is a simple formula but is not easy to implement if you don’t know what you are doing.
Easy Cash Webinar Overview
To build a successful online business you need 2 things:
- Traffic
- An Offer
You need an offer before you drive traffic. You need a marketing campaign to drive traffic to your offer. Watch the Easy Cash Webinar and learn the marketing campaign used by thousands of marketers to generate millions of dollars.

Wow! This weeks module was a big eye opener for me. Again, what an awesome presentation…the more I hear and get involved with this program, the more excited I become!
I was not able to make the live call due to other commitments for my family. I finally got a chance to listen to the recording and man was I blown away.
Module 2 was about developing an Automated Infrastructure Process. This is a process of automating your listbuilding and profit pulling system. Alex has shown us 3 different phases that can be used. These range from very simple to very sophisticated (and I admit, a little confusing). This module showed me the big picture behind building a business.
Alex places a lot of emphasis on the fact that the web sites don’t make you money. It’s the business behind the web sites that make the money. Once again stressing the fact that you have to treat your online marketing as a business. The internet marketing is only a function of your business.
I am learning that much planning is needed to be successful. This is something that I have not focused on before but rest assured, I will be from here on out.

If you are looking to start a business, a business of any kind, you should build your business around trust and your reputation.
Yes, there are many successful people online that are not trustworthy. There are also many successful people that hide behind facades to make their money because they have ruined their own reputations through lying to the people they were supposedly trying to help.
So if you want to be successful you can do these things but I have to tell you that it is so much easier being yourself.
You should let people know that you are a service provider and that you are there to help them. It is okay to let people in a little bit; let them get to know you as a person. You have to be transparent. It is okay if you do not have a solution for every person that contacts you.
With the rise of social media today, you have to get out there and let people know about you. You need to be visible and build people’s trust in you. The only way to do this is to put yourself out where people can get to know you.
