Hey all! I gotta tell you that last week flew by. I was supper busy with work and the family. Sunday was my wife’s birthday (I won’t tell you she turned 40).
How’s The Niche Adventure Going?
Well last week I submitted several articles to the article directories. As expected I am still getting most of my traffic from ezinearticles.com.
I spent a little over 1 hour creating a Squidoo lens to only have them tell me that my topic is not allowed and is considered a heavy spammed topic. The thing is it did not tell me until after I created the lens. I did find lenses on this same topic so maybe I will try to mimic their site and see if it gets approved.
I also spent about an hour creating two Hubpages. The next day when I went to check my stats I was given a message that the pages were unpublised in violation of the terms of use. So I need to spend some time checking into this issue.
I also created a Weebly page and so far it has had not issues.

Alright, it’s that time again for an update on my niche marketing adventure.
I am really have fun with this. Once I get this site established I can’t wait to get started on another niche. At that point I would also like to show you step-by-step what I am doing from day one.
For those that are new here I decided to create a niche site in the yeast infection market. You can read more about it at http://marketingwithrick.com/910/niche-marketing-let-the-adventure-begin/
I have submitted several more articles to different article directories and I have several more ready to submit. I am almost finished creating a couple of Squidoo lenses for backlinks.
Once I complete these activities I plan on creating other backlinks with forum marketing and blog commenting.
The stats
Age of site: almost one month
# of visitors: 90 visitors
# of unique visitors: 82
# of page views: 324
avg. # of page views: 3.60
avg. time on site is now 1 minute 53 seconds
The most visitors per day has been 11 and this has happened twice.

I first want to say that I can not believe it has been 2 weeks since I last posted about my niche adventure.
I know it has been too long since I posted when one of my buddy’s from church, Ted from Praise the Lard BBQ, said something to me. He was giving me a hard time about not posting recently. The thing is, he is right, it should not have taken so long but I do have a good reason…well a good reason for me.
Well, I have not accomplished much since I last posted. Two weeks ago I was extremely busy at my “job” and last week was spring break and I promised my family I would not get on the computer and do any work – It was total family time. And to be honest, I really enjoyed the time spent with my family – we all had a great time together.
I did check the stats on the articles. I am happy with the amount of views on most of the articles, however it is not translating to website views as I would have liked. That’s okay because the purpose of submitting the articles was two fold – getting backlinks to increase my Google rankings for my money keywords and to drive traffic to the site.

I am into the second week of my article marketing campaign and I am really following behind. As you recall, my article marketing plan was to submit a new article to the article directories every day for 21 days. I am at day 12 and I have only submitted 6 articles. So, if I do math math correctly (I had my son check it for me) I am averaging 1 article every two days. I am trying to look at the bright side and bask in the fact that I am at least submitting some articles and I am still continuing on my adventure and not giving up.
Ezinearticles.com still has not approved any of my articles yet. I am a little discourage by this because I thought they would be approved within 7 days. The other directories I am submitting to are approving the article within 72 hours. But I know most of the traffic will be coming from Ezinearticles.com because it is the most popular article directory. I almost forgot, since ezinearticles.com changed their word requirements, I am having to right my articles with a minimum of 600 words because I am in an already saturated market. This has been tough for me.
