Today let’s take a look at four affiliate networks that you should look into if you are an affiliate marketing newbie…heck, you should check these out even if you have some experience with affiliate marketing.

Remember, previously I explained what I like about affiliate marketing.   Then we looked at affiliate networks and why you should use them.

We know that affiliate marketing is a good way to start making money online. In order to do this you need to find an affiliate network to work with to help you find affiliate programs for your niche.

Although there are many affiliate marketing networks, in my opinion not all of them are worthy of joining.

While each of the 4 networks recommended below are different in their own ways, they have a few things in common.

  • Good Income Potential
  • Residual Income (getting paid over and over)
  • Free to Start
  • Easy to Use
  • Legitimate, Safe and Reliable

Below are the 4 affiliate marketing networks that I consider to be the best options, especially for beginners, to start making money online:

Alright, alright, alright!

Last week we established why I like affiliate marketing.

Today let’s take a look at Affiliate Networks.

What Are Affiliate Networks?

An affiliate network acts as an intermediary between affiliates and merchant affiliate programs. It allows affiliates to more easily find and participate in affiliate programs which are suitable for their website.  It also allows merchants that have affiliate programs to be able to reach a larger audience by promoting their affiliate programs.

Most affiliate networks allow merchants to offer affiliates a share of any revenue that is generated by the merchant from visitors through the affiliates site/link.  There are some merchants that offer a fee for each visitor on an affiliate site that completes a specific action (making a purchase, registering for a newsletter, etc.).  This type of offer is referred to as CPA or Cost Per Action.

Affiliates are typically able to join affiliate networks for free.  However, there is typically a fee for merchants to participate in the network. Some affiliate networks might charge an initial setup fee and a recurring membership fee. It is common for affiliate networks to charge merchants a percentage of the commissions paid to affiliates.

Affiliate Marketing – Why I Like It

Why do I like Affiliate Marketing so much???

If you have ever wanted to make money online but didn’t really know where to start, then affiliate marketing (yes, this is an affiliate link.  If you click on it and buy the product I will get paid a commission) is a good way to start.

If you are afraid or unsure how to make your own product, then affiliate marketing is a good way to start.

If you do not want to have to store any physical products, the affiliate marketing is a good way to start.

If you do not want to worry about collecting credit card information, then affiliate marketing is a good way to start.

I think affiliate marketing is the simplest, easiest, and one of the cheapest models to implement in order to make make money online.

Are there any downsides to affiliate marketing?

Yes, of course there are downsides to affiliate marketing as there are with any online venture.

  • You are relying on someone else’s website to convert.
  • You normally have to wait 45 days to get paid for any sales.

My Niche Marketing Adventure Update

Hey all!  I gotta tell you that last week flew by.  I was supper busy with work and the family.  Sunday was my wife’s birthday (I won’t tell you she turned 40).

How’s The Niche Adventure Going?

Well last week I submitted several articles to the article directories.  As expected I am still getting most of my traffic from ezinearticles.com.

I spent a little over 1 hour creating a Squidoo lens to only have them tell me that my topic is not allowed and is considered a heavy spammed topic.  The thing is it did not tell me until after I created the lens.  I did find lenses on this same topic so maybe I will try to mimic their site and see if it gets approved.

I also spent about an hour creating two Hubpages.  The next day when I went to check my stats I was given a message that the pages were unpublised in violation of the terms of use.  So I need to spend some time checking into this issue.

I also created a Weebly page and so far it has had not issues.
