Alright!  I’m back from vacation, refreshed and ready to get back to sharing with you all.

First, I have a few videos to show you about our vacation.  The first video is a short 30 second video that I created at Animoto.com.  The other videos were created by my son, Ethan.  He wanted me to tell you that “he hopes you enjoy the videos”. These are all short videos, with the longest video only 37 seconds.

There you have it, videos of our vacation.  We all had a wonderful time! I’m already for the next vacation.

Now onto the update for my niche site selling physical products. Since I have been on vacation I have only social bookmarked the two pages on the site. There have been a total of 22 visitors to one page and 34 to the other page. No sales yet.

I will be working this week by finding and posting to forums in the niche and also by blog commenting. If time permits this week I will also write a couple of articles and maybe find some sites where I can guest post.

Hey all!  I am currently on vacation with the family and I told my wife I would not do any work online, so I snuck down stairs early this morning to write this post.

My last post I mentioned that I was going to market physical several physical products in the golf niche.  Now I am not going to give you the websites this time as I do not want to skew the results.  I will keep you updated on the results.

I am following the Amazonian Profit Plan.  Click here to visit Amazonian Profit Plan.  Yes, I will make a commission if you purchase from the link.

I have taken an old golf blog that I own and created pages for the products I have chosen to market.  Basically, the idea is to create product reviews but not the typical product review.  I won’t go into any details as it would not be fair to Paula and Wanda, the creators of Amazonian Profit Plan.

I have not added content to this blog in almost 2 years but the site is averaging almost 1000 unique visitors per month.  When I saw this stat, I thought damn why have I been ignoring this site and not working to monetize it.  So now I have something else to add to my list of things to do.

Before I forget again, Happy Belated Father’s Day to all you Dad’s out there!

I want to share with you a couple of things going on right now.

As for my first niche site (the yeast infection niche), I am terribly disappointed in the results.  I worked very hard on this site.  I also worked very hard creating articles for backlinks and a few other web 2.0 properties for backlinks.  For some reason google does not show any of these backlinks and I am not sure why!  I have checked and Google has indexed my site but that’s it.  If you don’t remember my initial niche marketing plan, I was trying to generate traffic by following an article marketing plan.

Over the past month there has only been 47 visits to the site with 39 of those being unique visits.  Obviously it is impossible to make money with so few visitors.  Of those 47 visits there has been over 200 page views and the average time on site is 2:21.

As of today, I have 3 subscribers.  They have already gone through the 9 hard sell, soft sell and content follow-up emails.

The most important stat – Zero sales

promoting affiliate marketing products

Over the past few weeks we have taken a look at why I like affiliate marketing, affiliate marketing networks, 4 affiliate networks for beginners, and what to look for when selecting an affiliate product to promote.

Affiliate Marketing – What’s next Rick?

Let’s look at another common question that seems to come up when talking about affiliate marketing.  That question is “should I promote informational products or physical products?”  To be totally honest it is up to you.  Sorry to disappoint you  folks but there is no magic answer here.

For me, I have not promoted a physical product yet but it is next on my list of things to promote.  Since I do not have any direct experience with physical product marketing I have done a lot of research for you guys.  One thing that continues to come up during my research is that physical products offer a huge potential for making money online.  This is why I am exciting to get into marketing physical products.

So Which Do I Choose – Informational Products or Physical Product?
