The other day we discussed the need to Take Action on starting your online business.
Now you need to realize that building an online presence will take time. Not only will it take time it will also take persistence and being real. By being real, I mean that you have to put yourself into what you are doing to build your business. Believe me, people visiting your blog or website will be able to tell if you are being real or being fake with what you are writing.
You need to put yourself into your posts and other writings (articles, e-books, sales page, etc.). You don’t need to copy someone else’s style, you need to develop your own. It is fine to look at how successful bloggers write and emulate (Webster defines emulate as “do as good or better”) their writing style but don’t just copy. If you don’t put yourself into your writing you will start to post less often because it will become a choir instead of something you like to do.
There are a few people that I follow and they have helped me develop my style and keep me moving forward to building my online business. If you follow the right people, your work will become easier and you will develop your own style.

I was reading an awesome blog post last week over at…
http://www.davidrisley.com
Please click on the link and check out what David has to say about why Blogs don’t make money, Businesses make money. David gets directly to the point on this subject.
You need to quit thinking that you can make a load of cash just from blogging. You make money off of a solid business model, which can include blogging
It is only when I learned to start thinking “if this is a business I really should have a marketing plan” that I started to make any real progress that resulted in money. A blog is nothing more than a platform to communicate thoughts and ideas
Remember, Blogs don’t make money, Businesses make money.
Master this concept and determine what your ACTUAL business is going to be, the sooner you’ll find yourself profiting by writing things on your blog.

I want to discuss a very important issue that continues to come up time and time again from people trying to make money online.
I continue to have discussions with people that want to make money online but continue to make excuses as to why they haven’t yet.
The people I have talked to continue to tell me that they have read all kinds of e-books, both free and paid, and have bought all kinds of courses but still have done nothing to start making money online. Some people have expressed that they have a feeling of information overload. I fully understand that because I have experienced the same thing myself. I tend to be a perfectionist and I did not want to start until I knew my website and the likes would be perfect. But I have learned my lesson and will never make that mistake again.
Some people have expressed a fear of failure. They are afraid that they won’t be as successful as they want. I say how do you know if you never try.

I have received several emails asking which plugins I use on this blog, so I thought I would create a post for other that may be interested.
Plugins I Currently Use
Akismet – This plugin checks any comments against the Akismet web service to see if they look like spam or not. This plugin comes pre-installed on
WordPress Traffic Getting SEO Plugin 2.0 – This is a free plugin offer by Internet Marketer Jeff Johnson. Version 2.0 includes new “total control” features that allow you to pick and choose which features of the WordPress plugins you’d like to keep, and which ones you don’t. There is also a paid, pro version of this plugin that is supposed to be even more robust.
All in One SEO Pack – This plugin is streamlined for some best practices for WordPress SEO. This plugin allows to to change the post title, post description and keywords so it is SEO optimized. There is another plugin I am going to try that is called the Platinum SEO plugin that has more features than the All in One SEO Pack.
