Affiliate Marketing – Why I Like It

make money with affiliate marketing

Why do I like Affiliate Marketing so much???

If you have ever wanted to make money online but didn’t really know where to start, then affiliate marketing (yes, this is an affiliate link.  If you click on it and buy the product I will get paid a commission) is a good way to start.

If you are afraid or unsure how to make your own product, then affiliate marketing is a good way to start.

If you do not want to have to store any physical products, the affiliate marketing is a good way to start.

If you do not want to worry about collecting credit card information, then affiliate marketing is a good way to start.

I think affiliate marketing is the simplest, easiest, and one of the cheapest models to implement in order to make make money online.

Are there any downsides to affiliate marketing?

Yes, of course there are downsides to affiliate marketing as there are with any online venture.

  • You are relying on someone else’s website to convert.
  • You normally have to wait 45 days to get paid for any sales.

Niche Marketing – Let the Adventure Begin

Hey guys and gals!  I know it has been a couple of weeks since my last post and I wanted to give you an update of what’s been going on.

You see over the past three weeks I have decided to create a niche website outside of the IM niche.  One of my goals for 2011 was to create at least one new niche website each month.  Well, I am already behind.  I did not get one created in January and February ends next Monday so I need to get my a@@ in gear.

I am using a pen name for the niche site I am currently working on.  The niche is in the woman’s market so I am using another name and getting lots of advice and feedback from my wife.

Niche Site Marketing – Let the Adventure Begin

overcome fear build online business

The fear of failure is perhaps the strongest force holding people below their potential.

Fear of failure is closely related to fear of criticism and fear of rejection. Successful people have learned to overcome their fear of failure.

Michael Feiner’s Law of Feedback states: there is no failure; there is only feedback.  Successful people look at mistakes as outcomes or results, not as failure. Unsuccessful people look at mistakes as permanent and personal.

We actually learn as a consequence only of trial and error experiences. Basically we learn from our mistakes.  People are so afraid to make mistakes.  The faster we make mistakes the faster we can learn.  It is how we respond to those mistakes that is important to our success and failures.

In a world full of uncertainty, a delicate economy, and countless misfortunes that could happen, it really is easy to see why most people are afraid to take any risk and play it safe. The problem with playing it safe is that it has its own risks as well.  Think about it, if you never dare to fail you will never be very successful.

8 Reasons Why Are You Not Succeeding Online

I have been doing a lot of reading lately and most of it has been about how to succeed at building an online business.  While this is very helpful information for me I thought I would put a different twist on this issue.

8 Reasons For Not Building a Successful Online Business

  1. Technophobia- You might be scared of the technical side of setting up an online business.  You might be worried about how to set-up a website, getting a domain name, or even creating a sales page or a squeeze page.  The truth is…it is not as hard as you think it is.  I had these same worries and I was able to do all of these and so can you.  I recommend using GoDaddy.com.  There are plenty of websites/registrars where you can purchase a domain name.  Domain Sale! $7.49 .com at GoDaddy when you use this link.  I also recommend you use a separate hosting account to host your domain name.  I recommend either HostGator (starting at $4.95 per month for a 3 year contract of $6.95 for a 1 year contract) or BlueHost ($6.95 per month).  Both hosting accounts are very easy to use and set-up.
