A Personal Note to the MarketingWithAlex 3.0 Students
Okay, I really felt the need to write you all a personal note.
From Me to You
As you read this I hope all is well and you are moving forward and taking action!
Please let me know your thoughts on what I’m about to tell you.
I am on vacation with my family and we are having a great time.
As I am writing this, I am sitting on a beach on the Gulf Coast and the sun has almost set, man what a gorgeous view.
As I am sitting here I begin to think “vacation’s almost over…you have to go back to work…you’re gonna miss this.” As I enjoyed the moment, I realized that this is the life I want. Yes, I want to be able to leave my full-time job and work full-time on my online business. Yes, I want to be able to spend more time with my wife and kids. Yes, I want to be able to make my own decisions. Yes, I want to go on more trips with my family. Yes, I want my kids to visit places I have never been to. Yes, I want my kids to experience more than I ever have.
I pray almost everyday, that I will be able to do these things. I pray that I will be able to take care of my family. You see, it is highly likely that I will be let go from my job at the end of this year.
At that point I will not have a choice. I have to be successful. I have to take care of my family.
I look forward to the freedom: financial freedom and time freedom.
MarketingWithAlex.com 3.0 is Awesome
I am really excited about the coaching program I am involved with. I have learned so much in a short period of time. I am excited about how far I have come in such a short period of time. I am also excited how far many others in the coaching program have come.
Am I alone with these thoughts?
I have been feeling a little obsessed lately with the coaching program and the traffic challenge and that obsession has driven my family a little crazy.
If you are like me, I need encouraging words/results to keep me motivated and moving forward. By the results I have seen so far I am really motivated.
What also excites me is that what I have done here is create a base or more specifically a building block for my business. I want this building block to be a place that you, me and anyone else that stops by can see what I’m doing.
Honestly, No, I haven’t made any money online yet. I know it will take a little bit of time to finish the building blocks, but look out ’cause here I come!
The fact is I know that I am making the right moves and building the right foundation. I am continuing to move forward and take action.
My hope is that the people that come here will see what I have accomplished and will follow my actions. Heck, you can even copy my every move if you want, except for my mistakes of course. I hope that people can come here and even help me with my business. I am not so arrogant that I can not learn from others, that’s why I am in Alex’s coaching program. I am learning now and I will always be learning.
Never be afraid to ask for help. This is an important concept that I myself am working through. It is sometimes hard to admit when I do not know something, but the community in the forum has really helped. It is truly amazing what a group of people can do for each other.
I hope you see the theme here: “Helping Others“!
To start this process of “Helping Other”, let me ask you a few questions:
- What would becoming an internet marketer mean to you?
- Do you want financial freedom?
- What is holding you back from reaching your dreams?
- What method do you prefer to be taught and learn from: written, audio, or video?

Building Relationships
The one thing that attracted be to the MarketingWithAlex coaching program is the possibility of building relationships with other people that have the same or very similar goals as me. I want us all to become the next big success story online!
I want to build close online business relationships right now!
Think about it, building the relationships now can result in us working as JV partners with our own big product launch, just like some of Alex’s former students have done! Imagine us at a year from now and looking back to when and how it all started while we celebrate a successful product launch.

Glad you’re having a good time on holiday with your family. It sounds well nice where you are! It’s always great to have those moments which says it all: This is what it’s all about and this is why the effort is so worth it.

Hey Rick, I know what you mean about the crazy traffic driving I have thought that myself lately too.
My mum even asked me the other day if I was always going to be working this hard online, to which I answered no, this is just the hard part the riches shall come later.
Time is major factor holding me back, simply don’t have enough of it to do everything I want.
But at least I am aware of the problem and can take steps to “fix” it.
I am sure many of the students will build up strong relationships, and we shall see many joint ventures in the future.
Like you said, we are all aiming for similar things, and partnerships will essentially be built from the same burning desires.

Finding time to apply what I have been learning is also difficult for me. I have been working late into the night and during lunch when I can find a WiFi connection.
It will be exciting to see how we all grow and branch out and find our way.

Rick, you’re great!
I have a very short attention span and I seldom read more then 2 short paragraphs on blogs, but I loved your post and went trough it to the end. It must be great!
My best preference in training is video but as short and to the point as possible.
Give an overview where you want to get and what the exact steps you need to take in an order.

Man that sounds great buddy to be on vacation. I am on vacation this week but just going to stay around the house and get caught up on all the things that I never seem to get accomplished.

Hi Rick.
That is truly an awesome post and it really resonates with me. Somewhere thro’ the post i had to stop and recheck whether i was the one reading or writing it.
I am yearning for the time freedom to really pursue my passions. I am also looking at being able to quit and job at the end of this year.
Alex Jeffreys coaching has been fantastic and i still cannot believe how much i have learnt in such a short while. It is challenging especially creating adequate time to apply what i have learnt so i make it a point to utilize my weekend wherever possible.
I believe that we can make it and the best way is to help each other.

I agree that finding time to implement what we have learned can be challenging. I am typically staying up late at night until about midnight. I also try and do some work during lunch when I can find a WiFi connection at some local restaurants.
I also believe that we can make it by helping each other.

Great post. I can definitely relate to the “working through the fear of asking for help” That is definitely something I have to overcome.
Becoming an internet marketer means freedom for me- financial and personal freedom.
No more hitting the snooze button 15 times because I’m not a morning person.
No more dealing with NYC traffic or subway rush hour.
Being able to travel and re-connect with friends and family.
Connect with new friends around the world.
Life will be different that’s for sure.
I like to learn from video but sometimes I need to multi-task. I use audio for that. Written instruction when I just want to be still.
Rosetta Stone and W3School iare good interactive models.

Where I live I have some traffic but I would hate to be in that NYC traffic. That in itself is motivation enough!

Are you back from your hols, now? That must be tough!!
I like what you wrote about, inasmuch as you’re taking action early to get things in place for the future.
Me, I did it the other way! The wrong way I guess, but I just had enough of my boring, life-sucking Accountancy lifestyle, and I jumped ship early – end of last year to be precise.
Kinda feel like I’m sinking just now! But Marketing With Alex 3.0 is my lifejacket and so here I am bobbing away in an ocean of online tools and techniques for success.
I’m learning oodles, but frustrated double-oodles! So many things that sound easy in theory, but I regularly hit setbacks.
Let me stop here! I’m having a moan which I can easily do in private! And believe me I do do (urgh, that sounds ugly!)
What I had meant to say to you was,
“Nice blog! Keep up the good work! Yeah, JV’s in the future sound really great, excellent, awesome, spectacular, extraordinary (for those in the know, that is what you hear when you play too much’Bejewelled Blitz’!”)
And I do mean what I say about future prospects. I’m not joking at all.
My encouragement to you is, keep on as you are going. Set up a process and a system so you have clear tartgets and goals and you can track your progress and achievements.
Me, I’m not on hols. I’m at home, easily distracted, (why did my hubbie ever introduce me to Bejewelled? It’s more like be-devilled!) Quickly frustrated, more than a little overwhelmed, but the truth of the matter is that keys to online success are being given to me by Mr Alex Jeffreys, and I’m determined to put those keys in the lock, turn it and open the door to A WHOLE NEW WORLD!

The vacation was short (2 days) but nice and enjoyable.
I am still laughing about your moaning in private comment!
Alex’s coaching program has been awesome. I have learned so much in a short period of time. Yes, I also have times of frustration but as I keep moving forward, I imagine those periods of frustration will become less and less.
I am not familiar with Bejeweled but I will check it out.

So nice to be in vacation with family. I’m looking forward for mine in the middle of July. Wouldn’t be wonderful to be able to stay in “vacation” all the time? Going back home only because we chose to (and because of children school :p), stay where we like for the time we want. That’s one of the motivation factors that drives me in this journey to be successful in Internet Marketing.
I deeply understand what you said about being a little obsessed with the coaching. I find myself in front of the computer every minute I have free and my family think I may be going to become crazy.
When I need to boost the motivation I look behind. I’m not so worried about what’s left of the journey. I’ll be there some day. I look from where I began and I say “Wow! So much in so little time!” It’s amazing. Sometimes we feel depressed with the long path ahead, full of uncertain and doubts, and we don’t appreciate what we just walked from level 0.
Look at your stats, enjoy the numbers… I’m sure you’re far, far away t then the majority of people that is trying to make money online.
We’ll meet in the top and share a beer.

I LOVE IT! I am totally with you here. We have the same dream of working full time on our business and spending more time with family. I also love Alex Jeffreys coaching program. I am learning so much from each module. I am definitely taking action daily, and looking for ways to help others in the process. God blessed me with an awesome idea today regarding a product. I am creating an eBook on Time Management, yet the scope has changed dramatically! It has gone from a simple eBook to an instruction manual, video training and a membership site. It will actually be a full fledged launch with JV Partners and the whole nine (let me know if your interested).
Now for answers to your questions:

$ Freedom & the ability to do something that I enjoy doing.

$ I sure do! Free to wake up when I want to, free to travel, free to workout as I please, free to cook for my family without feeling rushed, free to attend field trips with my daughter, free to give my mom the life of her dreams…..FREEEE
* What is holding you back from reaching your dreams?
$ I’m forging forward brother. Nothing is holding me back. I understand the butterfly effect, and practice it daily.
* What method do you prefer to be taught and learn from: written, audio, or video?
$ I’m a no holds barred type of person, so I get bored with the idle banter that I find in lots of eBooks and on several videos. People get so caught up in telling their story, that they forget to provide real detailed how-to information. I’m an engineer if you can’t tell. I like eBooks, yet I want the option to purchase a soft cover book as well. I also like videos, yet I feel like I’m being held hostage when I am unable to fast forward and get to the point.
The only thing that I’m not happy about is that Widlink will not work on my site:-(
