Headed to China and Thailand

Tomorrow me and my wife are off to China and Thailand for a 10 day vacation. We are going with my brother-in-law, sister-in-law, and their spouses. We are so stoked about this trip. This will be the first kid free vacation in quite a while so we are really, really looking forward to this. Don’t get me wrong, we deeply love our kids but this is a well deserved vacation for me and my wife.
How about that, this affiliate marketer is about to soon be a world traveler.
First we are headed to China for a few days. We are only staying a few days because the weather is very cold this time of year. We have been checking the weather and the temperature in the morning has been around 18 degrees F while the high is around the low 30′s.
After China, we are then headed to Thailand where the temperature will be in the 70′s. So you can see why we are spending the majority of our vacation in Thailand.
While we are in China for a few days, we have a whirlwind tour planned to make sure we see all the touristy places before we leave. Plus, this coming Sunday in Chinese New Year and I am sure we will see some great fireworks. In Thailand we will do more relaxing activities like snorkeling or even just laying on the beach.
Now I have to tell you that we have been a little worried because this is out first trip overseas. I used to travel to Jamaica for a previous job and we went to Bermuda on our Honeymoon but we have never traveled overseas. Even with our worries we are so excited about this adventure.
My brother-in-law and his wife both speak Mandarin so the language barrier should not be a problem in China. They both studied mandarin for over a year.
We just found out that it is snowing on Seattle where we were to make our first connection flight. We will now be flying through L.A. but we have lost our great seat assignments. Oh well, just roll with the punches and keep on going.
So, you will not be hearing from me the next couple of weeks. I started to queue up some posts but honestly i have not had the time while getting ready and packing for this adventure.
Have you ever been to China or Thailand? If so, leave me a comment below about your trip and your exeperience.

Just a tip … southern China’s climate is a lot warmer than up north. If you do a trip to China in the winter again, try taking a look at places in the south of China where climates are almost tropical.

@GraySpirit,
Thanks for the tip. We will keep that in mind if we decide to visit again.
Is there any city you would recommend we visit in the south?
