Ladder Of Success

Hey, it’s me, Rick Byrd… remember me… I used to blog. LOL!

I am still here and still climbing the ladder of success (I think I am only on rung six) and have just not blogged lately and for that I am truly sorry.

2012 is Going to be My Year…Is it Going to be Yours?

This year I am going to ramp up my Affiliate Marketing business.  The last three months of 2011 as a full-time Affiliate Marketer have been fun but not without some bumps (as to be expected).  I was able to build 4 websites that promoted Amazon products.  Each site is a review style site.  So far all 4 sites are niche based, where I review several products in a given niche.  I also plan to create sites that are product specific for one product.  I will utilize the style or model number as the domain name.  I was able to make a few hundred dollars but that is no where close to my goal.  However, looking at the positive side, this just shows me that I can make money online and I just need to ramp up my efforts.  I have learned much about keyword research and now I am focusing on backlinking.  Building quality backlinks is definitely tougher than I originally expected.

So, in 2012 I am working to get more organized.  I need to get organized in order to stop wasting so much time.  It is hard to admit that I waste time but I do.  I am going to start by working in 1 hour blocks.  I will set-up my to-do list into the hour blocks the night before so I can hit the ground running.  My day usually starts at 9:00 a.m. after the kids get off to school.

What have I missed since becoming a full time Affiliate Marketer?

What I have missed the most is blog commenting, more specifically visiting the blogs of my online friends and seeing what they have been doing and communicating with them.  I have also missed building relationships with other marketers here at MarketingWithRick.com.

What’s next for MarketingWithRick.com?

Honestly, I am not sure.  I do not want to give up blogging but I also need to focus my time on my affiliate sites that make me money.  I enjoy blogging here and I do not want to give it up.  I guess I need to add a 1 hour block to my schedule for blogging.  I still want to share my affiliate marketing adventures with everyone.

Last Words

Finally, I want to wish for everyone:

  • Happiness in all you do and experience
  • Peace with all those you encounter
  • Faith in yourself and your abilities
  • Health Prosperity
  • Financial Prosperity
  • Spiritual Prosperity

What are you expecting in 2012 for yourself?
